The Coronavirus
I reserved a car but due to the corona virus I cannot travel to Curacao.
If you test positive for the Corona virus you will receive a voucher in the amount of the rental fee. Should Curaçao or the Netherlands decide to close the borders, you will receive a voucher in the amount of the rental price. It is also possible to rebook the trip free of charge based on availability. The voucher provided is based on availability. We advise you to check availability first when making a booking.
Cancellation of bookings through April 15, 2021
The corona virus has had a big impact on us, as it has on many companies in the travel industry. Much bigger than we could have imagined beforehand. This has made us decide not to give a refund in the event of a cancellation, but a voucher/voucher. This is personalized and contains a unique code worth the amount paid to Auto Deal. With this voucher/voucher you can make a new reservation with us within one year from the date of issue. The rental period does not have to take place within that year, it may be later.
We issue vouchers under the heading of goodwill. We do this on the basis of the new measures.
About the rental car
Where should I pick up/return the rental car?
Your rental car will be delivered to your accommodation or if you wish we can arrange for you to receive the car already at the airport. With us there are no area restrictions on delivery. We deliver the rental car all over the island free of charge. You can return the car where you received it, either at your vacation accommodation or near the airport.
How is my rental car insured?
Auto Deal Curacao offers All Risk insurance. The All Risk insurance covers damage you cause to another party (WA) as well as damage to your own car (CASCO). Well insured! At Auto Deal Curacao you will never pay more than the excess. Almost all of our colleagues on Curaçao offer only third party insurance. In case of damage or theft you will pay for the complete damage.
What is the deductible?
On the All Risk insurance there is a deductible of €500. Optionally, you can reduce the deductible to €250 for €7.50 per day or to €0 for €13.50 per day. The maximum WA coverage does remain in effect.
What should I do in case of theft?
If the car has been stolen you are naturally shocked. We ask you to contact Auto Deal Curacao as soon as possible by phone at +59996983928 or +59996983929. The police should also be called immediately, we will be happy to do this for you. You may also call the police yourself, the number is 911.
What to do in case of an accident or breakdown?
When you rent a car from Auto Deal Curacao, you will enjoy a carefree time. Besides the fact that our cars are well maintained, we offer an exclusive 24/7 service. We are available 24 hours a day for 7 days a week for breakdown or traffic assistance on the road. And always with a maximum response time of 1 hour (from office to West Point).
Do I need a credit card?
At Auto Deal Curaçao, you do not need a credit card. There is no deposit on the rental agreement.
Where do I pay for my rental car?
You can pay for the rental car in cash or by iDeal. At the conclusion of the reservation, you must make a down payment by iDeal or bank transfer. With the payment of the deposit, although you guarantee your reservation, the remaining payment is not completed until delivery.
What age restrictions apply when renting an Auto Deal car?
For car rental with Auto Deal Curaçao, the minimum age is 18 and the driver must hold a valid driver's license. For driving a car in the Suzuki Small MPV, Hyundai Venue SUV, Hyundai Verna Sedan or Suzuki Alto DX category, the minimum age is 21. For more information on ages (info@autodealcuracao.com)
How many kilometers can I drive the rental car for free?
The mileage is unlimited! So there are no unexpected costs.
How soon will I receive a quote?
If you request a quote you will receive a quote within 24 hours. The quote is valid for 3 days. If you make the down payment of the rental car by iDeal payment you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. If you pay the deposit by bank transfer, you will receive a confirmation email within 72 hours.
Do you also have child seats?
Yes! We have full size high chairs as well as booster seats. The cost is €2.50 per day for the reservation of a booster seat we do ask you to reserve a booster seat in advance to avoid disappointment.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is:
- 4 rental days for accommodations on the Punda side of the island.
- 5 rental days for accommodations on the Otrabanda side and the West Coast of the island and delivery at Hato International Aiport.
Delivery at Hato
We understand that you want your rental car immediately upon arrival in Curaçao. There are standard charges for delivery to Hato Airport. However, we usually provide this as a service gift. When the car is delivered to another location and you want to return it at Hato Airport, we charge €25 per one-way trip. For the return at Hato Airport we have a fixed end time of 18:00 hrs. If you want to return the car later please contact our rental office to discuss this possibility.
Tips about renting a car
Book in advance or during stay?
To ensure that your desired model is still available we advise you to book in advance. Due to our competitive prices and All Risk insurance we receive many bookings daily. Of course you are also welcome as a last-minute booker. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that your desired model is still available.
